The most recognizable American fashion designer... not so recognizable after all :-(

I'm starting a blog to catalogue my sightings around the lot.  I spend my prior "life" as a mousy auditor at a Big Four public accounting firm before joining the internal audit department of an entertainment company.  I've been here for about a week and had my first "sighting" today - then it occurred to me, this is probably going to happen a lot. - talk about a great perk!
My aunt gave me the great suggestion that I should log them in a blog so I can look back on them later.  I think that would be pretty rad - so I'm going for it!

Today I went to Artisan Cheese Gallery with Nicole (one of the girls from work).  Guess who I saw the moment I got in the door?  Isaac Mizrahi!  Arguably one of the (if not THE) most notable American designers.  RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF ME, SITTING BY THE WINDOW.  BAM!

I feel bad, I kept staring at the guy, he probably felt like he was in a fish tank.  I also started wishing I had brought my leather coat which really tied my outfit together - without it I just looked like a girl in a too big sweater.  After pointing it out to Nicole we both got super excited - what a great catch!  No one else in the place recognized him, I couldn't believe it.  I mean, I guess it makes sense - I live and breathe by clothing while most people just see it as a way to stay warm and remain socially acceptable - but come on!  This is the man who made high fashion within reach of the mass market!  This is THE man who launched the designer craze at Target!  The man who revolutionized how people saw clothing from a "big box retailer"!  This man arguably did more for "fashion for the masses" than any other designer singlehandedly!

*swoon*

Yes, he was wearing his wedding ring.  He recently got married you know.  How cute!
